Shepton Beauchamp

Work is progressing well on our six affordable homes at Shepton Beauchamp, which includes 4 x affordable rent and 2 x shared ownership.  This is another collaboration with Otter Construct Limited, who have built homes for Willow Tree Housing Partnership (WTHP) in Stoke St Gregory, North Petherton, Creech St Michael and Ilton, over the last few years. 

The properties are being built to a very high standard, incorporating solar PV and batteries, EV chargers and Air Source Heat Pumps, as well as incorporating wildlife elements to encourage biodiversity. Proposed to be EPC A, the homes are designed to be affordable to run as well as affordable to rent or buy.

 The four affordable rent homes are at roof level with the tiles being laid and solar panels currently being fixed, these will be advertised on Homefinder Somerset later this year and are due to be handed over to WTHP in November 26.  The other two shared ownership homes have footings excavated and are anticipated to be handed over in March 27.
