Berrow, Somerset

The scheme at Berrow is a development of 10 affordable homes, comprising 7 affordable rent and 2 shared ownership, in a coastal Somerset village, just south of Weston Super Mare.  A combination of bungalows and semi-detached properties, provided a much needed mix to meet the demands of the area.  This exception site sits on the eastern edge of Berrow and also included 15 open market homes.  Groundwork commenced on site in early 2020 and continued on site throughout the pandemic.  Although a Section 106 scheme, this was dealt with differently to that of a traditional Section 106, as we entered into contract with the developer for the plots, then appointed our own building contractor, Classic Builders, who had worked on another scheme for us, to a very high standard.
